  1. Hi,

My name is Ogi and I’m the owner of FirstSiteGuide where I’m creating tutorials to help people get online in 30 minutes.

I would love to ask you for permission to translate your Reaction Buttons plugin found at http://blog.jl42.de/ and help our readers of different communities to use it in their own language?
I can translate it to my native Serbian language and have a coworker who can do it in Spanish. But you would need to create the translatable .pot file first in order for me to proceed.

Please let me know if you are willing to do that so I can translate it.

    Best Regards,

  2. Hi Jakob,

Could you please let me know how to disable the Reaction Buttons from showing on pages such as (about us, home page, contact us)

I am only using on one php template and I want reduce the site load time but not allowing plugins codes to show on pages where no need for the.

I hope you can help with a code to add to my function.php

Please email me when you can..

    Many Thanks
    Sam

  3. From the FAQ:

„I want to deactivate reaction buttons in certain situations

Next to the normal options (categories, page types, post options, …) you can set the global variable $reaction_buttons_deactivate to true e.g. in your plugin or certain theme regions to deactivate reaction buttons during the execution of that code. But don’t forget to set it to false again when you are done!“

For me it sounds like something you want to set in the post/page options, but if you want to do that in code, you can set the global variable $reaction_buttons_deactivate to true.

    1. Thanks for that. I am not sure where place this code $reaction_buttons_deactivate to true.

Could you explain in more details.

I want the reaction buttons script to show on posts only. As for now the script shows on every page & post.

I am using this code to show it on posts [reaction_buttons]

It works fine but I don’t see the point of having the script on every page where there is no buttons to show.

If you can help and let me know where to place or edit the code the achieve this that would be great, usually you can create a function to show the reaction buttons on posts only so the script does not get loaded on other pages; such as contact us, home page etc.

      Many thanks
      Sam
